SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Santa Barbara Police have arrested a man they say was selling drugs while out on bail.

35-year-old Christian Guiterrez, a known drug dealer, was arrested on the 800 block of East Figueroa st. last week.

Officers say he tried to flush two ounces of cocaine, valued at $2,200, down a toilet as they were trying to arrest him.

One officer suffered a deep cut to his arm when he tried to stop Guiterrez.

He was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail and charged with possession of cocaine for sale, destruction of evidence, and resisting a peace officer. His bail is set at $250,000.
