PISMO BEACH, Calif. - Tuesday night, Pismo Beach's city council voted 4-0 approved a permit that will allow events to be held at the Chapman Estate.
It was given to the city by the owner after he passed away in 2012.
Now some neighbors are upset the events could disrupt the seaside neighborhood's peace.
Some at the meeting expressed concerns about the traffic, parking and noise.
Others say it's an irresponsible financial decision that would cost Pismo Beach millions in repairs and maintenance.
City council narrowed the number of events down to nine for this and next year.
While some residents were happy with that number, others were still disappointed.
