SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A paraglider was uninjured after taking a "soft landing" near Rattlesnake Canyon in northern Santa Barbara on Sunday.
At around 1:30 P.M., crews responded to the 1900 block of Las Canoas Road to assist with a possible rescue after receiving word that a paraglider had crashed.
Search and rescue crews and aircraft were called in but were eventually turned back after the paraglider was located uninjured.
As the paraglider made his way down the trail, he told our reporter that the outdoor sport wasn't as dangerous as you might think. He is living proof.
