Modeling agency owner hopes Weinstein scandal shines spotlight on workplace harassment

Modeling agency owner reacts to...

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The owner of Hello Gorgeous Models in Santa Barbara said she wasn't surprised by the accusations against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Shannon Loar-Cote said she hopes it will shine a light on sexual harassment in every workplace.

In the past, she has gone to the police when she felt threatened.

She talks to her models about safety issues.

"It is pretty sad, hopefully things are changing, people are coming out now and saying this is not right, we are not going to accept it, I mean it is certainly still going to happen, but maybe this will be the change," said Loar-Cote.

She advises young models to be with a parent during meetings and she recommends having a phone turned on in a back pocket to play it safe.
