GOLETA, Calif. -

Residents in one Goleta neighborhood want more patrols and plan to install security cameras after two carport fires in the last month.

The latest was early this morning on Lindfield Place near Storke Rd.

Residents were awaken by smoke and flames as fire crews from Santa Barbara County Station 11 raced to the scene.

They kept the flames from destroying the four-unit complex, but there was noticeable smoke damage and some of the carport storage areas had to be removed.

One resident,  Leslie Emmens said it's a serious situation because a month ago, there was another fire in the same area, but it was much smaller.   She wants to install a security camera in the open carport in case the fire is a result of an arsonist.
