Christie's put on two-day auction in New York

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - A live auction selling items from President Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan’s estate brought in $5.7 million dollars, more than twice than what was expected.

Christie’s two-day auction started ended on Thursday in New York City.

The auction included more than 700 items, including furniture, one of a kind cowboy boots to glamorous jewels and even a piece of history, a segment of the Berlin Wall hand signed by President Reagan.
The actual chunk that came from the Berlin Wall from Berlin, with Reagan's signature on it up for auction. It did go up yesterday, the final bidding price was more than $200,000,” said Melissa Giller with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
Auction proceeds benefit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.

While the live auction is over, an online auction continues until Sept. 27-28.
