CAMARILLO, Calif. -

The Wings Over Camarillo Air Show is almost here, and right now pilots from all over the country are coming to Camarillo to get ready for the event.

One of the aerobatic pilots performing in the show is Judy Phelps from CP Aviation.  Phelps has logged more than 6,000 hours and she was named the 2011 National Flight Instructor.

This experienced pilot showed off her skills to NewsChannel 3, by taking reporter Kelsey Gerckens 4,000 feet in the air as she showed off some of her aerobatic tricks.

If you want to check out Phelps and more than 60 other pilots perform in the air show you can.  The air show is Aug. 23 and 24 at the Camarillo Airport.  Gates open at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day.

This year’s air show features an expanded 4.5 hour flight demonstration featuring aerobatic performances.  The show will also include classic planes, World War II fighters as well as a car show, and the famous Red Bull Helicopter.

Admission is $15 for adults, and children under 12 are free.
