Oxnard shooting leaves one person dead, another injured

OXNARD, Calif. - Latest -  Two people were shot in Oxnard last night now police are releasing more information about the victims.

When police arrived on scene they said they found a dark-colored vehicle with two shooting victims inside.

Those victims have been identified only as a Hispanic, female victim, 26 years of age.  She was declared dead at the scene.  The other victim a 27-year-old Hispanic male.  He was taken to the hospital in serious condition but is expected to survive.

No suspects are in custody.

The City of Oxnard offers a $10,000 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction in homicide cases.


One person is dead after a Sunday night shooting in Oxnard. 

Oxnard Police were called to the scene at Santa Clara Avenue and East Ventura Boulevard around 9:45 p.m.

When they arrived, they found two people shot. One was pronounced dead at the scene.  The other victim was transported to Ventura County Medical Center. Police said that person's condition is unknown at this time. 

Other details about the victims have not yet been released. Police are investigating.
