OXNARD, Calif. -

Two people were treated for minor injuries after their car was shot at in Oxnard.

The shooting happened Sunday shortly before 8 p.m. on A Street north of Bryce Canyon Avenue.

Police say, the shooting caused the driver to crash into a tree.

“Three people were in the car; all three of them ran away from the car.  Two of them were located nearby at a Ralphs shopping center.   They had some injuries from a traffic accident, but otherwise they were OK.  They were taken to a local area hospital," said Detective Luis McArthur with the Oxnard Police Department.

The third occupant was never found.

The shooter ran from the scene.  The only description given of the shooter was a Hispanic male wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
