No threat to Buena High School following mix-up.

Social media mix-up with school in New Mexico

VENTURA, Calif. - What some people feared was a social media threat targeting a Ventura high school turned out to be a mix-up with a school out of state.

According to the Ventura police, numerous calls came into the department Thursday about a possible threat to Buena High School through Snapchat.

According to the snap, the writer stated he was going to bring an A-R 15 rifle to campus and that "all  BHS students prepare to see my wrath tomorrow."

After investigating the threat, Ventura police determined 'BHS' stood for Belen High School located near Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Authorities in New Mexico have since arrested the 16-year-old responsible for the posting.

There is currently no threat to Buena High School, police said.
