ISLA VISTA, Calif. -

UCSB Urban Art workshop students unveiled their fourth mural in a series located in Isla Vista.  It is an ocean scene with a turtle at the center.

The mural is on the front of an apartment building on Sabado Tarde where a plaque is dedicated to the four people killed by a mentally ill student in 2001.

The planning happened before the recent Isla Vista tragedy, but the students added six fish in the ocean scene to commemorate the six people killed in the recent  murders.

Hector Medina painted the turtle and said he wants people to be joyful when they see it.

Art teacher Ann Hefferman had help from more than a dozen students.

Reaction to the mural has been positive.
