Los Padres National Forest heightens fire restrictions
Campfires, recreational target shooting prohibited due to high fire danger
Extremely dry vegetation and an increasing fire danger mean changes within Los Padres National Forest.
Officials have announced that Level IV fire restrictions will go into effect beginning today, July 23, 2013.
Restrictions include a ban on wood and charcoal fires, recreational target shooting and smoking in all areas of the forest.
