Smashed Car Window Crime Spree

People woke up to find their car windows smashed over the Presidents Day Weekend.

Ventura police say most of the victims filed the crime reports on line.

When officers arrived to investigate Sunday morning they found similarities to all the crimes.

Commander Brock Avery says at least 18 vehicles had been damaged by rocks in midtown neighborhoods near Ventura College.

The victims all had their cars parked along the streets.

Police are hoping resident with surveillance cameras may have captured a suspicious person or car.
