Silver Strand Hit and Run

Ventura County - The Ventura County California Highway Patrol is investigating a hit and run near Silver Strand Beach.

Three young girls, two of which are sisters and one family-friend, were walking with their mom in the bicycle path near Santa Monica Drive and Victoria around 7:15 Saturday night when a driver lost control and struck the three kids. They were all taken to the Ventura County Medical Center. The youngest child, a 6-year-old has major injuries.

Witnesses describe the vehicle as a silver sedan with tinted windows, front end damage and a missing a hub cap.
