School Bond Measure Option

Written by Tracy Lehr

Oxnard School District Trustees have not yet finalized a bond measure to raise money for schools.

But they are moving in that direction.

The board is preparing a survey and looking into the amount of money needed for campus repairs.

General obligation bonds are repaid through property taxes.

The board has a July deadline to get a measure on the November ballot.

At least three other local districts are considering bonds to help fund schools.
