Law Office Files Suit Against Tow Truck Driver Who Dragged Children

Written by Kateri Wozny

Ventura - A local law office has sued a man who dragged two children and a mother underneath a tow truck in August 2010.

The law office of Bamieh & Erickson says they filed the suit Monday against Mehran Khamseh.

In August 2010, Alma Rosa Lopez and her two children were hit by a tow truck driven by Khamseh as they walked across a street in Oxnard. Lopez was knocked down and the children were dragged for a quarter mile as Khamseh avoided all traffic signs.

It was later discovered that Khamseh was under the influence of meth, amphetamine and opiates. He is currently in jail on an immigration hold.

The husband and father of Alma's children, Marcos Vasquez, will make a statement during a press conference Tuesday at the law office.
