A Former Dallas Cowboy football player says his new business Ventura is right on target.

Jacob Rogers says his father taught him to shoot and together they are opening an indoor range right next to the family plumbing business on Knoll Drive in Ventura.

The Oxnard High and USC grad says no one objected to the plan at their public permit hearing in November.

And the city with a former Police Chief serving as mayor has been supportive.

Rogers is looking forward to offering police departments a place to practice and families a place to learn about gun safety.

Construction on the business called Island View Enterprises should be complete next month.

Plans are in the works to hold a grand opening the weekend of March 30th.
