Hit & Run Folo

Written by Tracy Lehr

Brook Roberts' mother chose to share hospital photos in hopes that someone will see them and do the right thing by coming forward with information that will lead to the arrest of a hit and run suspect.

Since last Saturday night the California Highway Patrol has been searching for the driver of a silver Camry seen leaving the scene on Victoria Avenue in Silverstrand.

The accident left two sisters and a friend injured.

Neighbors encouraged Crime Stoppers to offer a $1000 reward.

They see a need for speed bumps, lighting and sidewalks in the area across from Kiddie Beach that only has a wide bike lane.

Joan Aronson was walking on the outside of her daughters and their friend in the bike lane when a car missed her and struck the girls.

The car left tire marks on the curb.

The 6-year-old is showing signs of progress.

At Chabad of Oxnard, just down the street form the accident scene, Brook Roberts has earned dozens of Torah dollars in her Hebrew School for good deeds and "super prayers."

Rabbi Dov Muchnik and his wife, Racheli, visited Brook at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles where she was transferred earlier this week.

When they asked her if she deserved more Torah dollars for her good attitude Brooke held up all ten fingers to communicate.

If you have information you are urged to call 1-800-222-TIPS or go online to venturacountycrimestoppers.org.

Callers may remain anonymous.
