Written by Kateri Wozny

Ventura - The CHP is searching for a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run at Silverstrand Saturday and left three young girls injured.

CHP officials say a woman and three young girls were walking in the bike lane at Victoria Avenue and Santa Monica Drive when the driver swerved and hit the three girls. The driver then fled the scene.

One of the girls suffered significant injuries while the other two sustained moderate injuries. All three are students at Hollywood Beach Elementary School.

The woman was unharmed.

CHP officials say the vehicle is a 1997 to 2001 silver Toyota Camry. The car left the scene with front end damage including a broken headlight lens. It is also missing the left front portion of its plastic bumper. A silver hubcap was also found at the scene.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the CHP at 805-477-4100.
