Woman Who Kidnapped Boy Still Incompetent To Stand Trial

Written by Kateri Wozny

San Luis Obispo - A woman who kidnapped a boy over the summer was still found incompetent to stand trial.

The San Luis Obispo District Attorney's Office says Annette Hale was still found incompetent by a judge Monday morning. She will return to Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino until her next court review on June 18.

Hale was originally found incompetent in September. She kidnapped Jeremy Guthrie from a homeless shelter in Atascadero on Aug. 5 where she, Guthrie and his mother were staying.

Police later found the boy unharmed.
