UPDATE: Sewage Spill Cleaned Up

Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

Cambria - Approximately 10,000 gallons of sewage that spilled into Santa Rosa Creek Saturday night has been cleaned up.

San Luis Obispo County Health officials say the spill was cleaned up around 6:20 p.m. Sunday night. Officials plan on testing the water Monday to see if it is still contaminated.

The release was due to a power outage at the waste water treatment plant. The plant was running on the emergency generator.
