Lucky Man Comes Forward With $78 Million Lottery Ticket

Paso Robles - A lucky man has come forward with the winning $78 MEGA Millions lottery ticket.

Charles Hairston, a Korean War army veteran from Paso Robles, purchased his lucky ticket at 1 Stop in the 700 block of Spring St. in Paso Robles. The winning numbers that appeared on the ticket were 39, 31, 46, 40, 27, and the Mega number of 36. One Stop will also receive a bonus of $390,000 for selling the ticket.

As far as what he plans to do with the money, Hairston says he plans to “stick to my own business and try to be smart with it. Other than that, I don’t know what I’ll do with it.”

Hairston’s jackpot marked the 17th MEGA Millions jackpot to be sold in California and the second win within the last month.
