Homes Evacuated During Gas Leak

Pismo Beach - Authorities evacuated 15 homes in Pismo Beach after construction workers ruptured a gas line. It happened just before 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the Shell Beach section of Pismo Beach.

Cal Fire officials say a contractor digging in a driveway cracked into a ¾-inch gas line. Workers stopped the gas leak around 2:30 p.m., and the evacuation order was lifted shortly thereafter.
