Amgen Tour To Skip Tri-County Area

Tri-County Area - The Amgen Tour of California will be pedaling down a new route next year.

In May 2012, stage one will begin in Santa Maria, taking riders from San Francisco to Santa Cruz County.

The time trials will take place in Bakersfield instead of Solvang.

The Amgen Tour of California continues to draw global attention as one of the most anticipated cycling events of the year, one that attracts Olympic medalists, world champions and top Tour De France competitors.
