Woman Says She Was Accidentally Shot Inside a Santa Paula Motel

Authorities in Santa Paula are investigating a shooting at a local motel that left one woman injured.

It happened around 11:30 on Wednesday night at the Santa Paula Motel on Main Street.

The 26-year-old victim told the police she was in her motel room with someone else.. who was handling a shotgun.. when it accidentally went off.

She was taken to Ventura County Medical Center.. and is expected to recover.
