Food Bank to Help College Students Facing Rising Costs

Beginning this week college students in need of food and some other necessities will be able to pick them up at UC Santa Barbara’s Campus Food Bank.

The first-ever campus food bank is being launched by the UCSB Association of Students.

It is campus’ first ever food bank. According to the AS’s student services program expenses are mounting and with money tight due to rising tuition fees, there has been an increased demand in offering free or low-cost items to students in need.

The food bank is located on the third floor of the University Center and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

The food bank is also accepting donations and financial contributions.
