Written by Kateri Wozny

Buellton - The toxicology results for the driver of a big rig who was involved in a fatal accident on Highway 101 last month are now in.

The CHP says Charles Allison Jr., 48, of Grover Beach, was under the influence of Methamphetamine and Amphetamine at the time of his death. The cause of the collision is being attributed to Allison being under the influence of these drugs.

Allison was driving the big rig on northbound Highway 101 at the Nojoqui Creek Bridge Jan. 12 when he struck a BMW being driven by Kelli Groves of San Juan Capistrano. Allison's truck when over the bridge and burst into flames. Groves' vehicle was dangling over the side of the bridge and was saved along with her two daughters by local first responders.

Groves and her daughters survived the accident. Allison died on impact.
