Three Suspects Sought in Attempted Ventura Murder

Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

Early Wednesday morning, Ventura Police received a call regarding a stabbing victim in the 100 block of S. Santa Rosa Street.

When officers arrived on-scene and contacted the victim, 28-year-old, Jeffrey Johnson, he refused to provide them with any information.

Following a further investigation it was discovered that Johnson is a wanted parolee.

The only information the victim would provide was that he was involved in a physical altercation with three unidentified Hispanic males.

During the altercation Johnson says he was knocked out and when he regained consciousness he was walking in the area of Santa Rosa Street.

Johnson sustained a stab wound to his left side and a collapsed lung as a result of the assault.

He was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center where he was admitted for his injuries.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Ventura Police Department (339-4416) or Crime Stoppers (800-222-TIPS).
