Armed Robber Targets Third Parking Lot Kiosk

An armed gunman is on the loose after robbing a kiosk attendant at Parking Lot 7, near Figueroa and Anacapa.

It happened in downtown Santa Barbara around 4:00 Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the suspect flashed a handgun during the heist, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The kiosk attendant was not hurt.

Two similar incidents happened last month, both along Chapala Street: one at City Lot 4 on the 1100 block, the other at City Lot 2 on the 900 block.

Santa Barbara police investigators are trying to determine whether the incidents are related.
