Entrepreneurship and Opportunities During Economic Uncertainty

Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

Times may be tough, but it's not stopping some people from starting their own business.

On Wednesday afternoon, a new business orientation drew a full conference room of interested residents in Santa Barbara. The room had people with original business ideas, or who had worked in a company for years and were ready to be their own boss.

Women's Economic Ventures, a non-profit, held the orientation.

Participants will start of a 14-week course next week, to help someone get a business started, or to expand an existing business.

Those interested in the classes were told they would have a complete business plan, and that includes information about financing options and marketing suggestions.

If you interested in participating in future workshops just contact Women's Economic Ventures at 965-6073 or go to www.wevonline.org
