Sprinklers Contain Warehouse Fire

Ventura City Firefighters are crediting sprinklers for stopping a warehouse fire early Saturday.

The fire started just before 3am, at a recycling business on the 5200 block of Colt St.

City fire officials say a scrap pile was burning inside a large warehouse, but was being contained by sprinklers.

Firefighters used heavy equipment to break up the burning pile before putting it out.

No injuries were reported from the fire. The cause is being investigated.
