Shooting Sends Stray Bullet Into Home

Written by Amanda Howard

Ventura Police are trying to piece together clues after a shooting sent a bullet through a family home Sunday night.

It happened just after 8:00 p.m. on the 1500 block South Saticoy Avenue.

Police say they received several calls of gun shots in the area..
A witness told officers he saw a man shooting at a pedestrian across the street.

The shooter fled the scene before police arrived.

A resident a few blocks away later found a stray bullet had broken through a 2nd story window and was logged in a wall across the room.

No one was injured.

The shooter is described as a Hispanic male in his 20's, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

If you have any information, contact the Ventura Police Department at 805-339-4343 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
