S.B. Neighborhood Clinics to stop Receiving Medi-Cal Payments

As early as today, Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics will stop receiving Medi-Cal payments from the state because of the budget impasse.

The group is a critical health safety net for the county, and treats some 4,000 patients each week at sites on the Westside, Eastside, and in Isla Vista.

Starting today, the clinics will be forced to survive on their line of credit with interest, of course.
