Retirement Community Unit Quarantined Due To Flu

Written by KEY News Staff

Montecito - Some residents of one tri-county retirement community are under quarantine because of flu-like symptoms.

The Skilled Nursing Unit at Casa Dorinda is quarantined because 15 to 16 residents out of 300 have flu like symptoms.

State protocol is forcing management to follow this procedure to stop the spread of illness. No visitors or family members are allowed in right now and large group activities have also been postponed.

The Public Health Department is investigating numerous outbreaks throughout the Santa Barbara County.
