Quaids Hold Press Conference in Vancouver

Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

There's a new chapter in the Randy and Evi Quaid saga.

The couple, wanted for felony vandalism at their former Montecito home, remains in Canada and held a press conference today.

Evi Quaid, whose father was born in Canada, received a Canadian citizenship card this month.

However, Canadian immigration officials have "withdrawn admissibility proceedings" for Randy Quaid, this according to CTV British Columbia.

That means Randy won't be able to win refugee status at the moment.

The 1973 Oscar-nominated actor picked up an award at a Canadian film festival this week for his role in the 2008 film "Reel Time."
