Police Seek Witnesses in Mesa Vandalism

Damage to banks and a coffee shop

Written by KEY News Staff

Santa Barbara - Santa Barbara Police say the public may help them find those responsible for vandalism at a Mesa Shopping Center Wednesday.

They believe all of the attacks are connected. Since Jan. 24, vandalism has been reported at a bank ATM machine twice, a wall on a drug store and at a coffee shop.

Police say the person or persons responsible smashed the ATM screen and spray painted across the machine. The suspect(s) wrote in black spray paint “Class War” and referenced the Occupy Oakland movement.

Citizens with any information are encouraged to contact Santa Barbara Police Det. Mike Brown at 805-897-2340 or to call anonymously at 805-897-2386.
