Parking Lot Search

Swat team members surrounded a local parking lot after reports of a gunman.

It happened in Lot Seven right across from the Santa Barbara Courthouse where back to back Valentines Day Weddings were taking place.

Police had armed officers at every corner and blocked the entrance and exit of the parking lot.

Sometime before 3p.m. they received two calls about a man with a rifle inside the parking structure.

But after an extensive search, police did not find anyone posing a threat and called off the manhunt.

The commotion prevented at least one bride from getting to her car.

But the new Mrs. Sara Gibbs took it in stride.

There are unconfirmed reports that a worker may have been seen with a pellet gun.
