New D.A. Touts Early Accomplishments

75 days into her tenure, newly minted Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley is touting a litany of new, administrative moves.

Dudley's office has hired nine new, entry level attorneys to replace attorneys who retired last year. An Arson Task Force comprised of 31 fire officials throughout Santa Barbara County has been created to assist all County Fire agencies as the need arises. And in response to local crime concerns, the D.A.'s office has created 3 new crime units in the South County alone.

Among the D.A. office's other early accomplishments? The creation of a continuing education and volunteer program under the direction of a Chief Deputy D.A.
