Denunzio Case Moves Forward

Written by KEY News Staff

The case against Tony Denunzio will move forward.

Thursday, Judge Bullard denied the motion to suppress the evidence.

Denunzio was arrested on October 21st of last year on suspicion of DUI, but it was the physical actions taken by Santa Barbara Police Officer Aaron Tudor that had many in the community outraged.

The Santa Barbara County's District Attorney office did not charge Tudor with using excessive force, or Denunzio for resisting arrest.

Defense attorney Darryl Genis tells KEY News, Judge Bullard says, failure to use a turn signal justified his client being pulled over.

Denunzio will be back in court for a readiness and settlement hearing, on February 29th.
