More Than 800 Raise Money to Fight Cancer

Santa Barbara - The Cancer Center of Santa Barbara hosted a walk to raise money to fund cancer research and clinical trial in the Santa Barbara area Sunday.

Many participants know somebody personally affected by cancer.

Nancy May works at Cottage Hospital, where she met 3-year-old Lexi a year ago. Lexi is being treated for leukemia and a team of 16 showed support for her at the event.

More than 800 people took part in the event and the Cancer Center is hoping to surpass last year's fundraiser of nearly $190,000.
