Mayor's Home Searched In Oxnard City Probe

Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

Neighbors say the home of Oxnard Mayor Tom Holden's was searched by investigators several days ago.

The search warrants served at the mayor's home are part of an investigation headed by the Ventura County District Attorneys Office, focusing on the misappropriation of public funds.

Earlier this week, Mayor Holden issued a written statement to the Ventura County Star regarding the search warrants served at his home. However, calls from the KEY Newsroom into the mayor's office have not been returned.

On August 13th, investigators shut down and served search warrants at Oxnard's City Hall. They've served several warrants at the homes of city officials after confiscating boxes of files as evidence during their search of city hall.
