Man Arrested For Allegedly Shaking Baby

Santa Barbara - A Santa Barbara father has been arrested for allegedly injuring his infant girl by violently shaking her to the point she was unresponsive.

Police were called to Cottage Hospital over the weekend when the baby was brought in with hemorrhaging on the brain.

Officers say they located the father, Nathaniel McKnight, 24, and after questioning him, he admitted to shaking the baby because it would not stop crying.

McKnight has been arrested for child endangerment.

The baby is in stable condition.
