Mammoth Lakes Doctor Autopsy Results

Mammoth Lakes - Autopsy results reveal that a Mammoth Lakes doctor charged with sex crimes involving a 14-year-old Santa Barbara Girl did commit suicide.

The results were released by the Orange County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.

The body of Dr. Andrew Bourne, 46, was found late last Tuesday by his wife in the Mammoth Lakes area. The final cause of death is pending toxicology results which could take several week or longer.

Dr. Bourne faced eight counts of illegal communication with a minor to facilitate sexual activity. The other man involved in the case, businessman Joseph Walker, is also charged with the alleged sex crimes. He is due back in court Feb. 10 for a preliminary hearing setting.

Bourne had been fired from his job at Mammoth Hospital about a week before his death.
