Local Firefighters Wear Pink For Breast Cancer

Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

Santa Barbara - Local firefighters are going pink for a good cause.

It's another example of "What's Right."

During the month of October, Santa Barbara City Firefighters are supporting this year's American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" by wearing pink shirts and bracelets.

The "Making Strides" program raises money and awareness to fight breast cancer. You can also get involved.

"During the month of October, the public will be able to purchase the t-shirts. The proceeds will go straight to the American Cancer Society," said Ryan DiGuilio, firefighter for the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in California.
