Local 59 Year Old Black Belt Wins National Title

The local founder of, "Women Involved In Sports Evolution" known as "WISE" has a new title.

Diane Loring is now the U.S. National Taekwondo Champion.

The soon to be 60 year old old black belt won a gold medal in her age group for board breaking, a silver for sparring and a bronze for forms at the National Tae Kwon Do Championships in San Jose over the weekend.

Loring trains with an instructor with a fitting name: Master Thu Huynh which is pronounced like, " to win".

Master Huynh runs the Double Dragon Studio at the Pierpont Athletic Club in Ventura.

Dr. Jennifer Lendl, WISE Sports Psychologist was also on hand to cheer Loring on.
