La Playa Stadium Reopens

Officials at Santa Barbara City College celebrated the reopening of their new and improved La Playa Stadium today.

The stadium now features a new track and a new synthetic turf field.

The renovations were actually scheduled to finish next year, but were completed ahead of schedule. It took just four months to complete the two million dollar project.

It re-opened earlier this week for college and community use.

The grand reopening comes just in time for the beginning of the football season. SBCC faced Alan Hancock College.. on the the new field.
