KEY Assignment: Foster Pets

Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

With local animal shelters over crowded, hundreds of dogs and cats are often in uncomfortable settings for days, sometimes weeks.

However, loving foster pet owners are stepping up to help until the animals are adopted.

As we continue our week of special reports on pets, Senior Reporter John Palminteri shows us what foster pet parents do to enrich the lives of these animals and get them ready to move in with a new family.

And if you would like to be a foster pet parent you can contact the Santa Barbara County Animal Services Department at 681 5285 or on the web at countyofsb.org/phd/animal.aspx?id=23086
