Judge Issues Arrest Warrant For Evi Quaid

Written by KEYT Assignment Desk

Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Frank Ochoa issued a $100,000 arrest warrant for Evi Quaid after she failed to appear on Thursday to set a date for a probation violation hearing.

Quaid and her husband Randy were arrested earlier this year in Montecito after they were found living at a home they claim to own. The two were taken into custody on trespassing charges.

The couple has been in Vancouver, Canada for several months seeking asylum. The two have failed to appear for numerous court dates in Santa Barbara and have forfeited over a million dollars in bail money.

The District Attorney's office says they are working to have the couple extradited back to California, but are unsure when that could happen.
