Montecito - Local Firefighters are getting rid of their facial hair all for a good cause.

Montecito Fire District Employees are now shaving their mustaches and beards to participate in "Movember."

Movember (mustache + November) is a growing global movement that helps to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

On Nov. 1, pictures of the clean shaven firefighters were posted on the Montecito Fireman's Association web and Facebook pages. For the rest of the month, they will groom, trim and wax their "new" facial hair to make it unique.
