Volunteer With Search And Rescue

A hiker is recovering from injuries after being rescued near the Rattlesnake Trail and Tunnel Road connector in Santa Barbara County.

The hiker was one of four rescued from the area about 7:30 Sunday night. Officials say he suffered a dislocated shoulder and was in too much pain to walk.

The victim was reportedly the most experienced one in the group and was the only one who knew the trails especially well. The other three hikers

Santa Barbara Search and Rescue is always looking for volunteers.

They're holding a recruitment meeting next Wednesday, September 15th, at 6 p.m. It's being held at the Search and Rescue station at 66 South San Antonio Road in Goleta.
